Dodge 116 Open Tourer 1926 |
Founded as the Dodge Brothers Company in 1900 to supply parts and assemblies for Detroit's growing car industry, Dodge began making its own complete vehicles in 1915. They continued as a family business for many years occupying a place in the top five motorcar builders in the US, a heavily contended position. Family death and misfortune eventually saw the company sold to Chrysler.
