This one’s all about the cars. A Ferrari BB512 and a 1973 Porsche 911 to be specific. In an interview Harris said he was excited about the ‘flash cars’ as he and Mr. Example both wanted to ‘look cool’. Susan Boyle would look cool in either of these.

This 2003 release by this four-piece Soundgarden/Rage Against The Machine rock supergroup intercuts clips from the movie Vanishing Point with shots of the band in a replica of the movie’s 1970 Dodge Challenger. Also starring an E-type that meets a very messy end – we’ve always loved that scene.

The cool cartoon band races a bullet-riddled 1969 Chevrolet Camaro across the desert, chased by Bruce Willis in a red 1968 El Camino. Cool? Oh yes.

White Knuckle Ride

Jay Kay pursues a Porsche 911 Carrera RS 2.7 in a helicopter (his own, natch) along a winding desert road. That’s it. Looks good though.

Not officially a music promo. But the opening scene of this 2006 film by the French electronic duo is hypnotic, as the camera follows their 1987 Ferrari 412 through a Southwestern United States landscape. One of our favourite bits of classic car film.

Two Norwegian rappers pay tribute to the bullet proof 80’s icon – The Mercedes 190. Enough said!

Ok, so it’s Cheryl Whatever-her-name-is, but there are a few good classic car appearances here including a couple of nice Citroën DS’s.

8. Sammy Hager

I Can’t Drive 55

Sammy drives his black Ferrari BB512i and explains to a police officer who he nearly runs off the road, that he can’t drive at only 55mph in a Ferrari. This was a big solo hit for Hager in 1984 before he replaced David Lee Roth in Van Halen.

Jay Kay again, but he does love his cars. This one features three of the most iconic supercars from the 90’s. A Ferrari F355, a Lamborghini Diablo and the Ferrari F40. Not much of a story-line, but you know they’re having fun.

Classic Madness. The boys drive around in the ‘Maddiemobile’ – a white 1959 Morris Minor. Fun Boy Three try to hitch a ride. And fail.
